Bella Card #2

 This is the second card I made for a Bella card swap on SCS.  One of the requirements for the swap, besides using Bella images was to also use SCS sketch challenge 241.  Since I signed up for three spots, I wanted to make each card as different as possible.

This is one of my very first Bella images.  Notice I said images, since I don't own any Bella stamps !  But that didn't stop me from joining in a swap featuring these sassy, chic ladies. Melanie from the SCS "Crafty Critters" blog group was generous enough to send me three different sets of images, so I could participate in her swap.  I signed up for three spots in the swap and this is the first of the three cards.  I'll show the other two cards over the next two days.  (See if you can spot the common element to all three cards!)

Warm Winter Wishes

 

The one thing I like about winter cards is that they don't involve a lot of coloring, especially when using snowman images.  (For those of you who may not know me, coloring images is not my favorite thing to do!)

Merry Christmas Tag Card

This was the Christmas "card" I sent to my daughter last year.  She has it displayed on her entertainment center again this year, so I was able to get a photo of it for my blog when I went to visit

It's all one long series of connected tags. Actually I made three of these, all different.  But I gave them all away!   I wish I would have made one for myself, but never did.  And I didn't get one made for myself this year either.  Someday...maybe!

Peace&Joy&Love

 A very quick post before heading off to school on this snowy Tuesday before Christmas.
I made this for my daughter last year for Christmas and when I was visiting her this last weekend I took a quick photo.

ETA:  Several of you asked if I used a Cricut to cut out the letters.  The answer is no, I used a Sizzix decorative strip, purchased through SU.

Twenty One on the 21st

My youngest child turns twenty one on the 21st of this month.  While he is excited about this milestone, I'm wondering how I got so old so fast!

So here is the card I made for his "golden" birthday.

Enough Already!

 Is it too soon to be tired of winter?  Here in MN it probably is, since we have many months of cold and snow still ahead of us.   So even though the temps have been frigid lately, I made up for it with a delightfully warm colored card.

Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry cardstock coordinate perfectly with the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP.

Layered silk and felt flowers, some bling flourishes, and MM dotted grosgrain and this card has me looking  forward to much warmer days.

Card Challenge Sketch

 The Christmas Giveaway Day 1: Card Sketch Challenge at My ScrapBooking Supplies
was the inspiration for this top fold card.

I stitched together three patterns from SU's Holiday Lounge DSP, layered onto white cs and then a Kraft cs base.


The image is from the SU set called Holiday Happiness and is mounted with foam tape onto the center panel.


Adhesive backed half pearls were added to the ornament.  Stretchy gold cord is tied in a bow at the top of the ornament.

This card follows the Saturday sketch on Stamping 411.

The card has a Pink Pirouette cs base.  Two patterns of Real Red DSP.  Generic pink stitched ribbon.  Red, white, and blue Felt Flurries, rhinestone brads, and the stamp is Penny Black.

I made this card using the sketch over on Taylored Expressions.

The colors are Not Quite Navy and White.

The stamp is from the SU set called Animal Crackers.  The image was stamped with black ink and a touch of Pumpkin Pie marker was used on the feet and beak.

Snowflake eyelets embellishes the card.

ACS7 (Aly's Sunday Sketch)

 I had been pondering Aly's Sunday Sketch #7 for some time now, but when I woke up this morning I finally had a solid idea.

The card base is PTI white.
The layers are Brilliant Blue (embossed with Divine Swirls) and Rose Red.
The stamp is Hero Arts, with BB ink on Whisper White cs.
The snowflake is from a soda can, cut with a Sizzix die and layered with a Felt Flurry and brad.
The stitched ribbon is from a mass of tangled ribbon.
The three snowflake eyelets are misplaced  from the sketch, but look better here for my card!

C4C15 Snow

I made this card for the challenge on Crazy 4 Challenges, which is a snow theme this week, using snowmen and/or snowflakes.

Two images from the SU set Perfect Presentation were used, along with my last card sized scrap of Cool Caribbean, a retired SU In Color. 

This long and skinny card has the fold on the left side.  It has clear and light blue rhinestones to highlight the snowflakes.

Krafty Christmas CASE

I CASEd this card from one I recently received in a card swap.  The simplicity of the images and subtlety of the colors of the swap card really pleased me.

The original card was done up with Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and Vanilla cs and an SU stamp set.  I used Kraft, Soft Suede and Vanilla for mine, using a similar CTMH stamp set.  I also added Kraft DSP to two places on my card.

Impossible to see, but I added some clear glitter pen to the star on the main panel and also on some of the stars on the smaller panel.

Today's card meets a sketch challenge for a yahoo group swap I am in and also the color challenge at The Color Dare.

This card features a Kraft cs base, a Kraft cs layer embossed with the Snow Dots EF.  Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon, Taken With Teal circle, a snowflake die cut from clear plastic packaging, a small Felt Flurrie, and a metal dot.

It was difficult to get the true colors of this card, because of the blizzard raging outside my window, but I am not complaining.  Why?  Because it's a bonus stamping day for me!  Woohoo!
