Double Pocket Bag

Today I had planned on posting another card that I CASEd from an SU catalog,... BUT THEN... I saw this awesome double pocket bag idea and just had to make my own!

Flowerbug's step by step tutorial made it so easy to make!  I'm sure I'll be making more soon!

This is the front of my bag.  I used the SU Horizontal Slot punch to make two holes to thread my ribbon through both layers in the top portion of the bag.

I added the scallop border to the edges, and a scalloped medallion to front center.

This photo shows the backside of the bag with a card in the pocket.  At the top I placed a snippet of ribbon and tied it on to the backside of the front ribbon with linen thread, then threaded the ends through the holes of a corduroy button and tied a bow.  This just gives the backside a finishing touch as well.  You could also add another bow to the backside.

Here is one of the cards I made to go into the pockets of the bag.  Although both of my cards are alike, you could go all out and make two different cards!  I believe this bag could hold more than two cards/envelopes as well.

Double Pocket  Bag and Cards:
Stamps:  Vintage Labels
Paper:  SU DSP: Sweet Pea, PTI white, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink
Ink:  Chocolate Chip
Misc:  ribbon, rub ons, pearls, linen thread, corduroy button, dimensionals, scallop edge punch, scallop circle punch, 1" circle punch, horizontal slot punch
Off to stamp some more!
