It's Your Day!

 LOL!  So last weekend I made a bunch of cards and then scheduled them for my blog.  Each night I would write up the post...but last night I totally forgot!  No stress in my life...or maybe... I had too much fun last night...yeah right!

This card is tall and narrow 3.5 x 7, I think.  I saw a similar layout in a stamping magazine.  The photo doesn't do this card justice.  IRL the greens are a better match and the pink is more vibrant.

This was a fun, quick card to make, but more importantly I was able to use a lot of supplies on this one!  (Slowly making room for more room!)

Love Seat

This card was completed in stages; baby steps really.  I designed this card around the ribbon (SU) and then added the DSP (also SU) and lastly found an image (Gina K) to fit into the middle white space.  A puffy heart shape sticker provides a cushion on the back of the seat!

I'm not totally in love with it, but do like it.  It looks so much better IRL, than in the photo!  I do believe it needs a sentiment, but didn't have the right one. Or even a wrong one in the right size!  Sheesh!

Rub On Doodles

 This is one of those cards, that although I love it, I feel guilty that there is no stamping on it.  Feels like cheating when rub ons are used instead of stamps!  It has crossed my mind more than once to dump the rub ons in the trash, but alas, I cannot do that either.  So I pull them out once in awhile and put them to use and then hurry back to my beloved stamps!

Party Time Tuesdays Challenge #13

It's Tuesday!   So you know what that means, right?  Time for a new challenge at Party Time Tuesdays!

This week it is Anything Goes, a favorite challenge for many.

My card today uses a super cute image from Robyn's Fetish.  I have my little songbird singing some sweet notes to celebrate Spring!

 I used a piece of Autumn Meadows DSP to inspire the color combo for the bird's "feathers".  My favorite part of this card is the speech bubble filled with musical notes.  But the sentiment was a fun touch as well!

Bold Blossom

 Another flower card to help bring on Spring!  This one uses a trio of layered posies with a flower brad in the center.  The stems are from the SU set Bold Blossoms and are stamped in Old Olive.

The striped DSP from the Sweet Pea collection coordinates nicely with the colors of the blooms.

A simple, but happy card!

Happy Easter Dear Friends!

New Toy: MS Fringe Scissors!

Making cards in pairs this weekend resulted in these two.  Notice the perky layer of fringed grass at the bottom of each card?  I've had my eyes on the MS Fringe Scissors for quite awhile and finally splurged and bought one for myself.  This was my first time using it and oh what fun!

For the impressive blooms, I added the smaller felt flowers to the centers of the large white card stock flowers. The cs flowers were already layered and some of the layers are glittery, although it is difficult to see in these photos.

In contrast to the big blooms, my sentiment is from Tiny Tags and features a simple hello adorned with a small posy.  Grosgrain ribbon serves as a stem and leaf.  All in all, so cute!

Happy Harmony

I want to say right off that the background color of the card on the right is way off.  (Must be the cloudy, dreary day we are having today.)  It is really closer in green to the flower. 

I've been making cards in pairs this morning and this is the first set.  I am attempting to use the many embellishments I have, along with the seemingly never-ending supply of patterned papers.  (Why do I buy all of this stuff!?!)

Butterfly Smile

Here is another simple card I was able to produce after the mass cleanup and reorganization of my stamp space.

I just love this SU specialty DSP called Sweet Slumber.  I love the colors and patterns and the subtle texture of the card stock weight papers.  I used a Cuttlebug two step butterfly die for the first time.  I'm going to love this die set!

I've been feeling overwhelmed lately and as a result have been not stamping much.  I feel badly that my blog has suffered as well.  Hopefully this lack of mojo will turn around soon.

Last Saturday a dear, kind, and generous friend (hi Carol - hugs!) came over and helped me rearrange/organize my stamp room.  It took all day and into the evening, but together we got the major work done and now I have my stamping table and counter top to clear off and organize.  (That's a day long project right there finding homes for things.)

I was able to complete this simple card the next day.  Very minimal stamping, but the gorgeous DSP does all the work on this one!

SRU: Bugs and Embossing

 Over at the challenge blog Stamps R Us, we are celebrating spring with bugs and embossing.  This card has some firsts for me.  First time using a pre-colored digi and first time using digi background paper.

This adorable digital image and paper is from Doodle Pantry, our sponsor for this challenge.  Aren't those ants feasting on jelly beans so cute!  I'm glad they're not eating the black ones, as those are my favorite!

Elegant Birthday

 Challenge #10 for this week at Party Time Tuesdays is to make an elegant birthday card!  The design team used some awesome images from Stitchy Bear.  Check us out!

My floral frame was printed on Gina K PL white card stock.   I used Copics to color the image.  Three of the  elements in the lower portion of the frame have been popped up with dimensionals and three colors of Stickles were used here and there for some sparkle.  Punched out photo corners were used in two opposite corners and then the bottom edge of the black layer was punched with a scallop lace border punch.

This card is for the new challenge at Stamps R Us.   The design team has made some fun and cute cards to get you thinking of jelly beans and chocolate eggs!
We used digi images from Stamp Fairy to make our Easter themed cards, and invite you to share your creations with us.

I printed my image on Going Gray card stock and used Copics and glitter pens to add color here and there.  I gave my bunny a fuzzy tail fluff and some flower brads in her bows.  In the upper left corner is a charm that says" Happy Easter", although it didn't photograph so very well.  My card is a small one, 4.25" square.

Here are examples of three different thank you cards that I made for my daughter this weekend.  She is getting married in June and will use these as thank yous for some upcoming bridal showers.  Her colors are pink, black, and white, so I'm trying to stick with that color combo for her thank yous.  I'll be posting more as time goes on.

I've been going through my stash of papers and ribbons and using up some older DSP patterns, card stock scraps, and  bits of ribbon.  (If I keep going at this rate, I'll be seeing some newer "stuff" in my future!   Here's hoping!)
