Here's the outside of my card:
I started with a black card base and then a white layer. I added a strip of washi tape across the white layer. The xylophone image is from Paper Smooches: "Knick Knacks". After stamping it in Memento ink I colored it in with Bic markers and then very carefully, one section at a time, added some glue and then colored glitter. I mounted the white image panel onto black and then popped it up with dimensionals. Oh, I added some Crystal Effects to the "sticks", although you can't tell from this photo. The sentiment is also from Paper Smooches: Sentiment Sampler.
Because the card base was black I also added a white layer to the inside of the card:
I used the Top Note die to cut the layer and added a sparkly Jolee's note sticker in the corner.
Off to stamp some more!

Man, I feel your pain regarding loose glitter....but it looks so awesome on your card that I want to pull mine out to play!! I love all the white space letting the rainbow sparkle take centre stage :)
Wow! I love that glittery xylophone. Such a cool card!
I know what you are saying about the glitter!! But a great end result you have achieved.

Such a fun and eye-catching card! Love the glitter, but oh my, how painstaking to keep the colors contained. It was worth the effort though, the xylophone is wonderful.
Your cards are all so fab! I love the glittered up image on this and the super cute font on the sentiment too.
