Circular Side Step

"Step" cards are the next challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges.  There are many varieties  and versions out there to try, as you will see from the Design Team's examples.  I found a tutorial on Splitcoast for a circular side step.  I was so excited to try it out and am very happy with the results!

I used my SU circle cutter to cut a six inch circle out of Riding Hood Red card stock.  The DSP is SU's "Holiday Treasures".  I stamped the trio of gingerbread men twice onto tan card stock and then fussy cut one trio and a singleton.  The sentiment is from one of my very first SU purchases way back in the mid 90's  "Christmas Sweet Treats" !  I used Spellbinders Labels Four and Eight  for the sentiment and background layer.  Spellbinders Eyelet circle and plain circle was used on the main image.  The white circle was embossed.   Sorry, I don't remember the name of the folder used, but it is from SU.  I added some metal charms and also three colors of Baker's Twine tied into a bow.

As I take a closer look at my card, it reminds me of a slice of watermelon!

If you've been following along and making cards with us at HJCC, you will have 5 cards completed for the holidays!  Woohoo!

 Off to stamp some more!

What a fun and fresh take on a Christmas card, Paige! I just love it! LOL about the slice of watermelon though! I wouldn't have thought that. Those gingerbread men and the little candies are too cute!
