Bee You

Today I created this card for the challenge at Paper Playtime which is to use a bee on your card.  Take a look!

I used images from two cartridges for my card.  The hive comes from Create A Critter and the bees come from Create A Critter 2.  I decided to tuck one of the bees into the hive with just it's face peeking out.   I had to reposition one of the antennae in order for it to fit on the outside of the hive.The second bee is popped up with dimensionals.  I used Going Gray and Basic Gray for the hive and then sponged the edges with Going Gray ink.  For the bees I sponged the edges with So Saffron ink and also used Pretty In Pink chalk for their cheeks.  The flying bee has Stickles on it's wings.  The card base is white followed by a layer of black and then a lyer of Sahara Sand which was embossed with a hexagon folder.  I turned the embossed design to the back before adhering to the card front.  The sentiment is from the Stamps of Life: Hive4Bees and was stamped with VersaFine black ink.
