Shopping Our Stash - Challenge 78

Challenge 78 for Shopping Our Stash is to use a leaf or many leaves on your project.

I really dug deep into the drawers, shelves and piles to come up with the ingredients for this card.  All of it very old and very neglected!  The card base is some Star Dream card stock in a coppery colorThe image layer is some thick and textured handmade paper. (although not handmade by me!)  I stamped the leaf trio (Hero Arts) with some Lumiere paint in green and some additional gold paint was dabbed on before stampingThe ribbon was an afterthought.  I'm still deciding whether I like it on this card or not.

Thanks for looking!  This is my third post for today.  Scroll down to see the cards I made for the Deigned 2 Delight November release and for the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges.

Holly Jolly: 3 Rs Challenge

The challenge at Holly Jolly this week is to include 3items on your card that begin with the letter "R".

For my card I went with round, reindeer, and red.  the image is from an old SU set called "Holiday Helpers".  I colored the images in with Copics and then added some red glitter to one of the images.  I used some DSP: Festival of Prints in the background.  Three pieces of red ribbon was wrapped around the front and knotted.

Thanks for looking!  We're looking forward to seeing your creations too!

M5D Season's Greetings

I made this card for the new release at McMahon Five Designs using their image called Season's Greetings.  I kept the focus on the cardinal and tree branch, so colored the bird feeder a very pale gray and left the sky white, except for adding a light touch of Stickles to the snowflakes.  The image panel was mounted onto SU's Cherry Cobbler card stock and then popped up with dimensionals over the brown satin ribbon and some DSP from SU's Frostwood Lodge collection.  Behind the DSP is another layer of Cherry Cobbler cs and then the card base itself is white.  Season's Greetings!

This is my third post for today.  To see my cards and posts for Shopping Our Stash and Holly Jolly, please scroll down.

Doesn't this look yummy!?!  You're looking at our inspiration photo this week for {PIN}spirational Challenges.

The Digi Garden is our sponsor this week too!

I used our sponsor's image called "Holly Bakes" for my card today.

The fun patterned papers on this card are from a Nikki Sivils collection called: U R My Favorite.  I colored the image with Copics to coordinate with the papers: E13, E20, E25, E27, E29, E79, E95, R30, R32, R35, R37, R39, Y23, Y26, YR00.  The image was popped up with dimensionals.  Early Espresso card stock was used for the layers behind the patterned papers.  Stickles was added to the cupcake.  I used the SU Spiral Border punch on the image panel.  A small paper clip with a ribbon knot was added to the corner.  An extra heart from the patterned paper was cut out and popped up on the image panel.

SOS: Challenge 77

This is my second post for today.  Please scroll down to see my card and post for Holly Jolly.

At Shopping Our Stash we are on Challenge 77 : Make a Thanksgiving or a Thank You Card.

I chose to make a thank you card with a fall theme.  Ivory card stock was used for the base and image piece.  Early Espresso card stock was used for the other layers.
The image on this card is from a SU set called: "Just Celebrate".  I used the following Copics to color: E08, E35, E39, W1.  Spellbinders oval dies were used for the image layers.  I dug into my small stash of Washi tape  and was lucky enough to have the right colors for the background.

Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge...

Oh, it's good to be creating again!  Thank you for your patience with my health issues and welcome back!

The challenge this week at Holly Jolly is to create a card inspired by a Christmas Carol.  Our sponsor this week is "Bugaboo Stamps"!  Check out our challenge blog for more details.

For my card I used our sponsor's image called "Chubby Snowman 2".  Isn't he a cutie? I have him trying to catch snowflakes.  The background paper is from Gina K's patterned paper pack "Blizzard" and was adhered to a white card base with dimensionals after punching three circles near the top.  The three blue snowflake embellishments are some confetti pieces recently purchased at Wal Mart in the Christmas department.  Stickles was added to the image for some sparkle.  The following Copics were used to color the image: BG10, E47, R39, YR18
