Day 2 TSOL February Card Kit

These two cards show off the adorable felt flowers that came in the February Card Club Kit from The Stamps of Life.  Except for the embossing folder used on the first card, everything else was part of the kit!  I know!  Tons of goodies came in the box!

Thanks for looking and stop by tomorrow to see more!

TSOL Feb Card Kit - Day 1

I've been a member of The Stamps of Life Card Kit Club since October and I'm loving it!  I have loved all the kits so far, but I must say this February kit is my favorite, although each month they keep getting better and better!  For the next 8 days I will share with you the cards I've made from this kit so far (16!).  This first card is a CASE of one of the three card ideas that comes in each monthly kit.

The cute scene on this card is actually one of the patterned papers from the kit!  I added some die cut eggs (another patterned paper) to the grassy area and popped them up with foam tape.  The two sizes of egg dies were part of the kit. In fact everything used on this card came in the kit!

Two gift bags were part of the kit and below you can see one of them that I decorated.  The "Blessings" die and it's shadow were included in the kit as well.  I tell you, it is an amazing kit!

Thank you for looking and I hope you continue to stop by to see the rest of the cards I made from the card kit.

Birdcage and Butterfly

I made several of these ATCs for a swap at Mini Album Scraps. The theme was birdcages and butterflies and we could use one or both on our creations.  The birdcage die is from Tim Holtz and I used a gold Star Dream paper for the cut out.   The large butterfly is from Michaels, the other two fabric butterflies were purchased from an Etsy store.  The fun beaded trim at the bottom of the ATC was purchased at Hobby Lobby in the clearance section. I always check the clearance area by the material for good buys on unusual trims and laces.

The base of the ATC is corrugated card stock.  I rubbed Inca Gold on the ridges of the card stock.

Enjoy Your Day

Several copies of this card are winging their way across the country to members of a cat card exchange club.  I used an image from D.O.T.S. and colored it in with Copics.  Except for the card base everything else is from scraps.  (The piles are slowing shrinking!)

Camera Shaker

I'm back with another cute card using stamps from The Stamps of Life (and their matching dies - swoon!)  This card was made from the set called "camera2stamp" and I made it into a shaker card!  So much fun!  Those of you who know me well, know that I ♥ interactive cards!

Inside the camera lens are bits of red and blue glitter and micro beads in the same colors.  Shake, shake, shake!

Stamps and patterned papers are from TSOL .  Card stock is from SU.  Oh, and I did decorate the inside of the card, just didn't take a photo - trust me!

Wobble Cat: I Knead You!

Anyone have the song "Smelly Cat" sung by Phoebe Buffay, on "Friends" going through their head?  Not yet?   Wait...oh,now?  You're welcome!

For you cat lovers, what's more fun than a card featuring an adorable cat image?  Answer: A cat image where the head wobbles of course!
Thanks to an action wobble ( a self-stick spring mechanism) and a cute stamp set from The Stamps of Life called "cat2stamp", i present "Wobble Cat".   Check her out!

The patterned papers are from TSOL, the card stock is from SU (Pink Pirouette and Basic Gray).  Here is the inside of the card (yes, I'm really trying to pretty up the insides of my cards too, sometimes I show them to you and sometimes I don't!):

Here is a close-up of the detail on the inside:

This was cut using the border die that coordinates with the stamp set.  So stinkin' cute!

Unlock Smiles

More fun with the stamp set and matching dies called "heartlocket2love" from The Stamps of Life!  Again (see the two previous posts!) beginning with an ATC-sized panel for the main images. (What can I say, I love to make ATCs!)
I love the perky yellow patterned paper (TSOL) paired with the bright red and blue card stock.  Stamping the sentiment on the die cut key was just a last minute idea, but so much fun!

Lock and Key

Just like the card posted yesterday, this card began with an ATC-sized main panel.  I also used the same stamp/die set from The Stamps of Life called "heartlocket2love".  I die cut the locket and key from TSOL patterned paper.  I thought it was a fun mix of patterns and colors and the black shadow made the colors and patterns pop!

Unlock Your Dreams

For this card I started out with an ATC-sized main panel and then created a card around it.  I used the stamp set "heartlocket2love" from The Stamps of Life and the coordinating dies for the main image, sentiment, and keys.  The fun large polka dot paper and polka dot cloud paper are also from TSOL.  To give the card a "dreamy" feel, I used a swirl embossing folder for the image background.

Delightful Blooms

This is the third and last card in my SU Bordering on Romance series.  I wanted to point out that on the Island Indigo panel I made three score lines on each end.  You can see the lines on the left side, but not so easily on the right.

I used Daffodil Delight ink to stamps the main image again on the inside of the card.  It's dark enough to show up, but not too dark that it will interfere with a handwritten message.

Stamps: SU: Bordering on Romance
Paper: SU: Pear Pizazz, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Daffodil Delight
Misc: Stickles, Score Board, Top Note die

This is the second card I made for SCS's USEIT2015 challenge using the SU set Bordering on Romance.  I used an embossed panel in the background that was sent to me by a dear friend from You Tube (waving hello to you Jill!)

Stamps: SU: Bordering on Romance

Flower Trio

The next series of cards, three in all, use the SU set called Bordering on Romance.  I used this set for the USEIT2015 challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  I am having so much fun rediscovering sets that have been collecting dust on the shelf.  I'm also having fun using card sketches from OWH.  They make planning and completing a card so quick and easy!

Bleached Blossoms

Sorry about the glare on the photo!   My editing skills must have been really off the day I edited this!

But what I really want to tell you is that bleaching is such a fun technique and I don't know why I don't do this more often!  On this card the brand of red card stock I used (Gina K) bleached to a beautiful creamy white color.  It's fun to see how different card stocks will bleach out to some surprising colors!

Supply List:
Stamps: SU Flower Shop, More Great Greetings; Paper Smooches
Paper: Gina K card stock and patterned paper
Ink: VersaMark and Versafine Onyx Black
Misc: fine detail black embossing powder, bleach, paint brush, Cheery Lynn Designs small flourish die, circle punches, wink of stella gold pen

Hello

I have a good sized collection of washi tape. Not as much as some, but more than other stampers I know.  I'm not hoarding it, but like many of you, I forget to use it.  So I pulled some out for this card to provide a backdrop of pattern and color for this flower from the SU set Flower Shop.  I think the top and bottom portion of this card is too plain, but I had already adhered the white panel to the card front.  I was going to redo the card, but didn't get it done before it went live on my blog!

Calypso Night

I love this bold and unusual color combo!  I found it on the Cherry Cobbler card in the SU Color Coach:  Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, and Calypso Coral.  When I want something different or I'm just stuck with what colors to use, I go to the Color Coach for some creative color combos.

Regal Trio

This card layout is an old favorite of mine and it worked so well with this stamp from SU's Flower Shop set.  The perky color combo is Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso.  I outlined the flowers with a BG10 Copic marker.

Happy Thoughts

This is the second card in the SU Flower shop series for the USEIT2015 challenge on Splitcoast.  The color combo is a pretty one using Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, and Calypso Coral, all SU colors.  The flower was stamped with VersaMark onto Pink Pirouette cs and then embossed with fine detail white embossing powder. Color was sponged on with a dauber and all three colors of ink that match the papers, starting with the lightest color and ending with Calypso Coral.  The sentiment is an A Muse Artstamp.
