Valentine Tags

I made these Valentine tags for a challenge at Koala T Crafts Facebook group.  The challenge was to use washi tape on a card or project.  I will need some Valentine cards for another challenge on You Tube coming up in January, so I will add these tags to card fronts to finish them.  But first I have to buy some more kraft card stock!

When I went to cut some card bases I sadly discovered that my kraft card stock was down to two sheets and I needed two and a half!  Yes, I could use another color...but...I have my mind set on kraft!  So off to shop at Stamp TV with Gina K.  I love her card stock!  And now I wait.

Gift Card/Treat Holders

I made these gift card/ treat holders at the request of my daughter.  These will be given to our granddaughter's preschool/daycare teachers.  I followed a You Tube video tutorial that you can find here.  I changed the dimensions for an extra 1/2 inch score line on each short side so that I would have a small flap to tuck into close the box.  I also cut off the last tab so the flap could fold in to close.  I chose to skip making a  window opening in the box.

Here are the holders with the list of supplies below the photo:

Supplies used:
Paper: SU card stock: white and Primrose Petals, Crate Paper: Snow Day patterned paper
Stamps: SU: Christmas Messages, Lawn Fawn: Winter Big Scripty Words: stamps and matching dies
Misc:  SU tag punches in 2 sizes, soft peppermint candies

Flower Burst

Today's card is the one I made for the 11/15 color challenge at The Outlawz.

I used a Sizzix Flower Burst embossing folder on some pink card stock.  i also used some metallic gold card stock, gold glitter dot stickers and Dried Marigold Distress Ink.  I didn't add a sentiment as I'm not sure how I will be using this card; keeping my options open as needed.

Heart Square Frame

For the sketch challenge this week at The Outlawz I used a Spellbinders heart square frame die to frame the focal elements of my card.   The sentiment is a die cut using white glitter paper. I built up the sentiment by layering the glittered "love" onto two layers of plain white die cuts.  The embellishments are tiny wood die cut hearts that I purchased at a Hobby Lobby some time ago.  The finished card is a 5 inch top fold square.

The Magic of Christmas: Believe

I pulled out a Stamps of Life stamp set: santa2stamp to use for a challenge card at The Outlawz.   I stamped the Santa face once each onto pink and red card stock and twice onto white card stock.  After lots of fussy cutting I began to layer and paper piece the parts.  I wanted the white areas to sparkle so I used some Folk Art Hologram acrylic paint.  I used washi tape behind the popped up Santa head and the Believe sentiment is a die cut from a SOL die with black glitter paper.  Here is the result:

3 Faces of Eve

I used a Stamp Oasis image for my challenge card at The Outlawz.  The theme was family gathering and I had a heck of a time finding a stamp in my collection to fit the theme.   So I settled for this one.  I colored the flowers with Copics and some were stamped out a second time, fussy cut and popped up with foam tape.  I added some bling to the centers of all the flowers.

Got Soup?

This "Get Well" card  was for a challenge at The Outlawz.  I used the Nov. stamp club set from Maymay Made It for the mug image and a SU Paper Pumpkin set for the sentiment and "steam".  The papers are from a Paper Studio pad.  I added glossy accents to the "soup" in the mug.

Be Jolly!

I'm having fun using my new sentiment stamps and matching dies from Lawn Fawn.   I paired "be jolly" with the sketch challenge for 11/9 at The Outlawz.  I also used some Holiday Glassine paper from Craft Smith (purchased a couple of years ago) and some melted Perler beads.  The medallion is a faux metal rimmed sticker layered onto three sizes of circle punch outs.

Oh Joy!

This card was made for the color challenge over at The Outlawz.  The twist was to use a snowflake in your creation.   I used some glittered confetti from WalMart and a snowflake embossing folder:

The sentiment was stamped and die cut using the matching stamps/dies from Lawn Fawn.
The snowflakes are arranged on a lacy circle which is a die from Gina Marie.

The Magic of You

The CAS challenge at The Outlawz for Nov 6 is to use a "mythical" image.  I had to dig deep into the stamp drawers to find something I could use.  This image is from Rubber Stampede.

I used a lot of subtle and not so subtle shimmer on this card:

DCWV Glitzy Glitter paper
Glitter dots
Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink pad with a SU texture stamp from Timeless Textiles
Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spritz
textured glitter tape.

Is It a Tag or Is It a Card?

This creation looks like a tag, but it's really a card!  I traced a Prima tag onto folded card stock to create a tag shaped card.  The inside isn't quite finished yet, but it will be a birthday card.  I plan to make 4 more very similar to this one to complete a birthday card challenge with Peggy, a dear friend I made on You Tube.

Products used:
Prima Lyric patterned paper
Chipboard stickers
small black and white pearls
misc paper ribbons
white grosgrain ribbon
baker's twine
white card stock

2 Christmas Cards

I made two very different Christmas cards.  Both were made for challenges at The Outlawz.  One challenge was to use nontraditional colors and the other was for a sketch challenge.  Check them out!

I'm pleased with both, but let me know your favorite!

$Tree " Lace" Stickers

I'm participating in a card challenge with two very talented ladies on You Tube.  The challenge is to make five Thinking of You/Just Because/Friendship cards a month.  We started our challenge this month with cards due on the 20th of each month.  I used those awesome stickers from The Dollar Tree that look like lace and feel like rubber - so cool!  I also used a paper pad from TrimCraft (my new favorite paper company!) called Mulberry Kisses.

Sending Hedge Hugs

I made this horizontal easel card using the July stamp set from The Stamps of Life called "hedgehogs2stamp".  What an adorable stamp set!   I paired it with a small hedgehog diecut from a Gina Marie die.  If you're not familiar with her dies, you must check her out!  Here is a link to her store:  Gina Marie Designs.  Her dies sell out quickly because her prices are so awesome, so check her store often.  Just saying!

On to the card!

Squee!  It's so cute!   I made two of these cards, with slight differences.  One is headed to a dear friend that I swap cards with every month and the other card is going to a new friend who also belongs to The Stamps of Life monthly stamp and die  club.

Four More Challenge Cards!

Hooray!  I was able to complete all the challenges last week for The Outlawz.  It had been awhile, as I was watching our granddaughter, was out of town for almost a week and then lost my mojo for longer than I could stand!   But the mojo came trickling back and I made all seven cards for last week!  Woohoo!  Here are the cards I didn't show in the previous post.

The first card was to use a button.  Sounds easy, doesn't it?  But I struggled to find an idea for something so simple!

The next card was for a Christmas in July theme.  I used a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs called Ribbon Tree and some glitter craft foam:

This card was for "Cow Appreciation Day"!

And for the last card we were to use foil or metallic paper.  As you can see by the reflection, I used silver mirror card stock:

Three Challenge Cards

The end of June and the first part of July were crazy busy for me, so I didn't get any cards made for the challenges at The Outlawz.  But this week I was determined to join in for some of the challenges.  Here are three os the cards I made.  This first one was for the CAS challenge on Sunday 7/10.

This card was for the color challenge on 7/12 with the twist being to make it a masculine card. I thought by adding the word "dude"it would qualify!  Ha!

This last card was for the Wed. sketch challenge on 7/13:

MMMI and TSOL

Great Idea / Just Because

Here are two cards i made for two challenges at The Outlawz.  The first one was for a CAS challenge with a masculine theme and the second card was for a color challenge using kraft and then two other colors from an inspiration photo.  I totally misread that we were to use two colors from the photo, but luckily my choices squeaked by!  And here they are!

TSOL Sunshine and Mini Framelits Cards

The patterned paper pad in the June card kit from The Stamps of Life is called Sunshine.  I used the card stock, patterned paper and some of the embellishments for the kit to make these three cards.  I made two of each to swap with Tina and Marla.

For the next two cards I used two mini framelits die sets; mini stand-ups and mini flip-its.  the dies were designed by Stephanie Barnard (TSOL)  for Sizzix.  Too cute!

Make a Wish

I recently discovered stamps by Maymay Made It and joined the monthly stamp club.  The images I used on this card are from my first set called "Sorry".  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.   This card is an unusual size for me - 4.25 x 6.  I needed a slightly larger card base to accommodate the frame.

Now check out the awesome lace frame!   It's a sticker!  Yes, from Dollar Tree.  I found this at my local Dollar Tree which is amazing in itself, as every time I go there the selection of crafty goodies that I see others find at their DTs is nil.  But I lucked out today, so bought several.  Now these stickers are awesome in that they feel kind of rubbery and are re-positional.   They had several varieties of these lace stickers from hearts to feathers to borders.  But on to the card!

New Dies

My order from Gina Marie Dies arrived and I was excited to put this one to use.  I was inspired by a couple of different cards in the new SU catalog for this card design.  I'm using it for a monochromatic color challenge over at The Outlawz.   I left any sentiments off until I decide how I want to use it.
