Peek a Boo Valentine

I was looking through some cards I've received in the past from swaps and personal exchanges, like I often do, and came across one that inspired this Valentine card for my sweet little granddaughter.

She's a girly girl.  She loves pink and bling and sparkle and stickers, so this card contains all of those and more!

It's a peek a boo card and you can learn how to make it here

Here is the card when closed and then...

...Peek a boo!

I used some sparkly Dazzles borders and dots, Dollar Tree stickers, SU punches and stamps from Stampa Rosa and The Stamps of Life.   Card stock is from SU.   I am anxious to give this special Valentine to her!

Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Blueprints #21 Set 1

Do you make cards ahead of time to put in a stash or do you make them as needed?  Often when I am under pressure to make a card I find it difficult to crank one out, so I like to have a stash made up, however small.

So here are two cards using another MFT Blueprints die set, #21.   I left the cards blank for now so they could be used for any occasion. Patterned papers are from Amy Tangerine  - Ready, Set Go.    Minimal embellishing, just a few enamel dots.

It sure feels good to have these in my stash of cards ready to go as needed!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be back later today with two more cards using these papers and die set .

MFT Blueprints #15 Set 2

Two more masculine birthday cards I made using MFT's Blueprints die set #15.  The patterned papers are from two collections: Prima - Craftsman and Amy Tangerine - Ready, Set. Go.  The card bases are SU card stock. and the sentiment is from The Stamps of Life.  I kept the embellishments (enamel and metal dots) to a minimum because, well, they are masculine cards and all the doodads I usually add to girly cards just wouldn't work here!

Tomorrow I'll share some more masculine cards using Blueprints #21.  Thanks for looking!

MFT Blueprints #15 Set 1

Are you familiar with the Blueprints dies sets from MFT?  They are fun little sets of dies that make card making so easy!  I used Blueprint Set #15 for these cards (and for the two I will share with you tomorrow!).  The MFT website also has some card sketches to go with each die set.  I printed them all out (even though I only currently own 2 Blueprints die sets) and keep them in a binder for easy reference.

Making masculine cards doesn't come easy for me and I wanted to have a stash of masculine birthday cards, so that I don't have to scramble at the last minute trying to come up with an idea.  In future posts I will share some masculine cards that are more generic and can be used for other occasions.

The papers I used on these cards were from Prima - Craftsman and Any Tangerine - Ready, Set, Go.  A shaped paper clip and a few enamel dots and the embellishing was complete!  The sentiments are from The Stamps of Life.

Thanks for looking and stop by tomorrow to see more masculine birthday cards!

Card #3 from TSOL January Card Kit

Here are the last cards I made using the contents from The Stamps of Life (TSOL) January Card Kit for my swap.  I used a card sketch idea from a previous kit, making two slightly different cards just by changing the patterned papers.   One card uses baker's twine on the horizontal piece and the other card uses seam binding.

While I plan on making more cards from this kit, I'm already looking forward to next month's card kit!

TSOL January Card Club Kit Part 2

Today I am showing you the second card I will be swapping with two wonderful ladies I met on You Tube.  Just like the card from yesterday's post, the papers, and embellishments came from the card kit.  I used another Flip It die set, this one is called Circle Flip It #2.    Besides loving interactive cards, I also love to make shaker cards.  So I combined both of my favorites in this card.  The iridescent teal sequins were part of this month's kit.  I added pink flower sequins and white seed beads from my stash.  Lookie!

Thanks for looking!  I need to go work on card #3!

TSOL Make a Wish January Card Kit

I'm in a fun swap with a couple of talented card makers on You Tube.  We all subscribe to The Stamps of Life (TSOL) monthly card kit and decided to swap 3 card ideas with each other using contents from the kit.

For my first card I used an interactive card die set from TSOL called Square Flip Its #2.  All the papers, stamps, dies and embellishments came in the January Card club Kit!  Check it out:

Hello?!! Anybody Still Around?

Oh my goodness, it has been a long time!  Life has kept me away from this blog for way too long.  Not anything really horrible, mainly a new computer and not knowing how to use the editing programs on a MAC.  And then there is You Tube, which became my choice of media for sharing my projects, but in the back of my mind I missed my blog!  So here I am!  I have quite a few cards to share with you.  I'm not writing out all the details, but if you have any questions please leave them in the comments below and I will get back to you, if you leave your email.  So here goes!

I'll be back tomorrow with more cards!

Thanks for sticking with me!
