Great Idea / Just Because

Here are two cards i made for two challenges at The Outlawz.  The first one was for a CAS challenge with a masculine theme and the second card was for a color challenge using kraft and then two other colors from an inspiration photo.  I totally misread that we were to use two colors from the photo, but luckily my choices squeaked by!  And here they are!

TSOL Sunshine and Mini Framelits Cards

The patterned paper pad in the June card kit from The Stamps of Life is called Sunshine.  I used the card stock, patterned paper and some of the embellishments for the kit to make these three cards.  I made two of each to swap with Tina and Marla.

For the next two cards I used two mini framelits die sets; mini stand-ups and mini flip-its.  the dies were designed by Stephanie Barnard (TSOL)  for Sizzix.  Too cute!

Make a Wish

I recently discovered stamps by Maymay Made It and joined the monthly stamp club.  The images I used on this card are from my first set called "Sorry".  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.   This card is an unusual size for me - 4.25 x 6.  I needed a slightly larger card base to accommodate the frame.

Now check out the awesome lace frame!   It's a sticker!  Yes, from Dollar Tree.  I found this at my local Dollar Tree which is amazing in itself, as every time I go there the selection of crafty goodies that I see others find at their DTs is nil.  But I lucked out today, so bought several.  Now these stickers are awesome in that they feel kind of rubbery and are re-positional.   They had several varieties of these lace stickers from hearts to feathers to borders.  But on to the card!

New Dies

My order from Gina Marie Dies arrived and I was excited to put this one to use.  I was inspired by a couple of different cards in the new SU catalog for this card design.  I'm using it for a monochromatic color challenge over at The Outlawz.   I left any sentiments off until I decide how I want to use it.

Best Day Ever

I love adding layers on cards, so this sketch from The Outlawz was so fun to play with!  The patterned papers are from Trimcraft; the Neroli collection.   The sentiment is  from SU and the frame is from Teresa Collins.

Flower Burst

The silhouette flowers are from a die.  The color behind them are distress inks on watercolor paper.  The stamped sentiment is from CTMH and the border at the bottom of the card is decorative tape from The Dollar Tree.

With Gratitude

I met a wonderful woman on Crafty Lori's You Tube videos "Let The Wishing Begin".  She had wished for some patriotic themed paper to make note cards.  I contacted her to grant her wish and in our emails back and forth I offered to make the patriotic cards for her.  She wants to give them with the quilts she is making for veterans.  She was thrilled, I am thrilled, a win-win for both of us!  Here is the first card I made.

Flower Power

Over the weekend I received the new Stampin Up catalog.   Now I'm sure most people go through it looking at all the new stamps, paper, tools, etc, but I went through it looking for card ideas to CASE.  So my catalog has folded over corners and lots of sticky notes by all the card ideas I want to try.  So why am I telling you this?  Because this card is a loose CASE of a card from the new catalog.  The flower/leaf stamps I used are from TSOL, the ink is from Hero Arts, the sentiment is unknown, and the banner is printed transparency from Webster's Pages.
